This is just another thing I only learnt when I studied for my detective’s exam. It is incredibly hard for young people to identify if they are being exploited, groomed or sexually abused by somebody in a position of trust if they believe that person cares about them. What teenager doesn’t think they know best? But knowing something is illegal can make the situation much more black and white.
